Daily photos

For the longest time now, the tagline on this site has been “photos of daily life”. If you’ve been following along for a bit, you’ve probably noticed that’s not true.

The posts on the blog are not that frequent and they usually cover longer periods of time. Usually vacations, which only happen once or twice a year.

Publishing new posts has grown into its own little monster as well: writing them takes me some time, the photo selection and editing is tedious, and the demand with myself to deliver on the storytelling aspect has only slowed me down further.

And to be fair, I’ve been doing very well recently having published the entire Korea & Japan trip in record time, as well as the latest summer trip to Scandinavia. Also played with having more snapshots posts like Gritty Gotham and Paris snaps, which help reduce the pressure of posting something “big”. Love how these feel because how simple they are. I even posted something that I never did before: a few reviews of some of the most iconic NYC diners.

All of those feel like progress towards the true goal of this blog, which was to simply have fun and record something in time, so it can be revisited later on.

The desire to post daily photos never went away though. But because of how the blog evolved I never dared to mix them in with the more curated content, and that was always a blocker in my mind.

I’m glad to say that during the past couple of days, I’ve been working on something that finally allows me to post new photos on the daily!

They’ve got their own section on the daily page and are isolated from the main blog, so you can follow either or both, whatever you prefer. And you can also sub to the daily feed separately, if you’d like.

Curto bastante a ideia.
