Jagged mountain

Monserrat is considered by many a mythical mountain. Possibly because it’s believed to hold the Holy Grail, or maybe it’s the shear magnitude of the landscape around the abbey built on top, 720 meters above sea level.

The rocky formation harshly bursts out of the ground in an otherwise pretty flat terrain, which, given its dimension, has the power to diminish and belittle anything around it, a place where nature and holiness come together.
