This past May, my team got together in Edinburg for a mix of work and fun. The timing couldn’t have been better — the perfect weather made it a pleasure to explore the city and enjoy the outdoors.
The team stayed in Edinburgh’s new town, an ideal area for grabbing coffee from cozy cafés (or a couple of beers/ciders from the abundant pubs), popping into shops, and enjoying strolls to the nearby parks or to the old town.
The group visited V&A Dundee, Scotland’s design museum. An impressive and unique building envisioned by Kengo Kuma; the same architect that projected the new Gulbenkian’s building here in Lisbon.
We climbed the majestic Arthur’s Seat, which has amazing views from the top. We even experienced the mysterious and esoteric Edinburgh by joining a tour to the underground vaults, and visiting the famous Greyfriars Kirkyard Cemetery at night.
Oh, and on the last day I also did a pub crawl with my good friend Jeff. Remember, when in doubt, always ask for haggis.
