NYC – Day 6

For the second day in a row, we went to Junior’s in the morning for some food. The same waiter from the day before recognized us and sat us down. I ordered the matzah ball soup — didn’t know what to expect, and it was pretty good. We didn’t try the famous cheesecakes and I regret it every day. Once we were done, we headed south; half an hour of that Time Square hustle and bustle is more than enough for a day.

The goal for the afternoon was to visit Brooklyn and see the Manhattan skyline from the other side of the East River. We got on the ferry on Pier 11, a short walk from Wall Street, and arrived in Bridge Park. We sat down for a little while to enjoy the view, eat the cannoli we’d gotten in Little Italy (meh), and explored DUMBO a bit. The biggest treat was yet to come, as we crossed the unique Brooklyn bridge and the sun was setting behind the skyscrapers.
